This policy covers the information Valdez Digital collects through this website (valdezdigital.com) and what happens to it. There's no user account system here and nothing is sold to third parties — this is a small, one-person business, and this page reflects that.
Contact form. When you submit the form on the Contact page, I collect your name, email address, message, and phone number if you choose to provide it. Phone is the only optional field.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use it — pages viewed, general location (city/country level), device type, and how you arrived at the site. GA4 only runs if you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline or don't respond, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. See the Cookies section below.
Hosting logs. This site is hosted on Vercel, which automatically logs standard server data (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for every visitor, as most hosting providers do. I don't access this data directly; it exists to keep the site running and secure.
Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your inquiry — I don't add you to a mailing list or use your information for anything beyond that conversation. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand traffic and improve the site; it isn't used to identify you individually.
When you first visit this site, a banner asks whether you're okay with analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets a small number of first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions; if you decline or close the banner without choosing, none of this happens. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser's privacy settings, which will show the banner again on your next visit, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's browser add-on. This site doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Two outside services help run this site, and each processes a limited slice of your data on my behalf:

Contact form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, then deleted. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics per its configured retention period.
The only data I hold directly is what you send through the contact form, which lives in my email inbox. Email freddy@valdezdigital.com and I'll delete that message on request. I don't have visitor-level access to delete individual records from Google Analytics, Vercel's hosting logs, or Resend's delivery logs — those are automated systems I don't control at that level. If you'd rather opt out of analytics tracking entirely, see the Cookies section above.
This site isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If how this site collects or uses information changes in a meaningful way, I'll update this page and the date above.
